spring for chamber-sealing valve

I'm planning on using a spring from a weed wacker as the spring to seal my chamber-sealing valve. Is this going to be too strong? or what is a better alternative (they're pretty much the only kind of spring I could think of.)

Yes yes I know its been done, Supah right? Tell me if you like it.

Light blue is compressed air, Piston seals with O-rings.

That's why I dont like chamber sealing valves. I dont see the advantage to piston sealing or diafragma sealing.

and I think it's safe to describe the valve as a mechanical barrel sealing piston valve, and I was...
