Barrel Porting
Quick Ballistics Lesson
On a firearm porting is when you drill holes in the side of the barrel toward the front. These holes releave some of the pressure pushing the projectile and this reduces the amount of gas escaping directly behind it as it exits the barrel making it more accurate. Plus sense all the gas is not releaved at once the gun become slightly quieter.
