I'm building my first inline vortex but I need to know which option is better, half hole or a regular hole.

half hole has a slightly better fire rate and doesnt require shrouds to prevent jamming, i would go half hole only becuase it requires less work

Half holf requires the bbs to make less revolutions compared to a full hole or circle. So there is no need for a full hole because it will only make your rate of fire slower so i would agree with singularity and go with the half hole.

Just don't make a "half hole." Make it about 3/4s of a full hole, for the best performance. I don't know how the whole "half hole" thing got started, but it's misleading.
