Thats realy cool. The only thing I don;t understand is if you went through all the effort of making the trigger parts and all that $hit ,WHY did you not use something other than a coke bottle for the chamber..You could have used pvc or something. ........Just a thought....Just to make it less ghetto..

I reckon the so called ghetto looks are better in my opinion. It just makes it way original than all the other airsoft guns on the site :D
It's Nerf or Nothing.

Don't start crying when I play this as my hobby, Paintball, Airsoft and Nerf are equally good hobbies, except you can play Nerf in public. Good day! Hmph!

Hey thnx:) I have done testing on thickwalled coke bottles. Then burst at 23 bar, as I am only working at around 8 bar at the moment it is pretty safe. I dont use pvc pipes etc as they are more expensive and more of a fuss, coke bottles already have tread etc. This makes it so much easier. Another reason I used this air system is bc its highly adaptable''>> I use it for all the guns I make:)

Yeah you have a good point there lol! Thnx:) I still dont get what u guys mean by ghetto though? K I dont build my guns on the looks rather the functionality. I prob told you guys before that in my country a airsoft gun that looks like a real gun(shape/color) is treated like a real one:) ... and real guns are illigal here lol. I try to go for the paintball look

Nicely done but looks a little awkward, you could easily make it a pump action though...

Well it works really nice. As you can reload with one hand. (It has a magazine at the top so you dont have to mind about that. This means that you have more control for each shot as you dont have to move the whole gun (like in a shotgun style one) and it is faster. As you dont need that much force anyways I thought of making this. A shotgun style reload thing would make it too bulky:) Actually I was inspired by the m16, it has this thumb button on the right side of the gun. I think it is used when you have a jam or when a shell doesnt fire. I think this system is pretty ergonomical:) So yeah overall it beats a pump lol

Err isn't that "button" actually pulled back ?
I've never fired an M4 or M16, but I have the feeling you don't just use your thumb.

I quite like your system though, just that click sound is cool :)

Thnx, yeah that click sound is awesome. I didnt mean the recock lever though, rather the button on the right side. I have fired a M16 before but only 5 shots on an airforce openday.

Nice gun, but how do you fill the tank? (I don't see any valve in your gun)

I use a schrader valve with a tube attached to it in the back of the bottle. I use this on all my guns. The green tube makes sure that the seal is good as the hole in the bottle is smaller then the schrader valve. So the seal is selfsealing:) (due to the air pressure pushing it out)

Oke, bedankt :D (jaja ook NL)
Just one more thing, when you push the trigger and the barrel pushes then screw/valve back, you only get 1 or 2 mm space between the barrel and the screw, wouldn't it be better for the velocity to make that space bigger?

You are welcome. Well, about the spacing. If I understand you correctly you mean how far the barrel goes back before the valve hits the small pin inside the barrel (see picture). Well the barrel is moved about 2cm forward inorder for recocking and reloading. Thus when the trigger is pulled the barrel moves 2 cm back. If you for example make that length longer or make the barrel spring stronger the valve is open for a longer time (dwell time) and thus fires at a higher velocity:) If the spring tension is too high the valve might stay open as it doesnt have enough force to close it. I am glad you are thinking about the way this air gun functions:) I think its a very good concept for reproduction, thats why I posted so many pics, vids etc. I hope this helped you out.

I have a airsoft gun that is an m16 and I always wondered what that button was for even though you cant puch it maybe it is for lubrication.
You can tell how awesome a cannon is by the pressure used.

The thumb button is to open the gun-chamber and to get the bullet out.(pull the button)
When you're done, just push the thumb button back and you're ready to go again.
