UPDATE
I wanted to show you my balls

8.731mm (~2.6g each)...
there are 200pcs in one pack... so far I have 1200 but if everything works ok I'll order more...

of course I had to fire at least a couple of them... so far they seem ok, good velocity and penetration, less ricochets (as they rather penetrate than bounce off)

I am still waiting for the barrel (hydraulic tubing 12mm OD 9mm ID X 100cm) and a bunch of fittings (ordered 14.08.2009 - I have to wait so long because I ordered a 3/4" QEV as well and they don't have them in stock... :? ) to connect all the parts to 1/8" manually actuated 3 way valve

JSR, I am glad you said that rather than me!
I was going to state that as an alternative, but chose not to!

Just teasing Poland Spud!

Actually my envy is because your balls are slightly smaller than mine :(

I just realised the 3/8" barrel material I have is actually 3/8" outer friggin' diameter!

Ah well, I could always use it as a mandrel for a CAST EPOXY BARREL woo! :D

Ideas start pouring out - If I grease the mandrel in a spiral pattern, omg rifling! :D

@JSR
have you already ordered them??
if not you can always buy smaller...
smaller ammo = higher mag capacity...
omg rifling
good thinking... but I am afraid that hop-up would work better

Yup, should arrive any day now. The cast barrel is a workable idea though. Rifling isn't of course, at my urban ranges it's irrelevant anyway and besides, a steel ball isn't really going to bite into epoxy rifling...

Might as well show you my balls :D

A'barrel castin' I go ;)

Note the brilliant use of macro  :D

Below is my vision, a compact 9mm with an inline tube magazine, say around 20-30 rounds, similar to what SubsonicSpud had proposedhere hooked up to a pressure washer handle fed by a paintball tank, no reciprocating valve but an adjustable detent to control rate of fire

so you're measuring your balls with a calliper... is that one of your many fetishes or something??

uhmm anyway... people... feel free to post your balls here!!
around 20-30 rounds
that's with a double stacked magazine ??
an adjustable detent
me thinks that an o-ring would work better... it's not a good idea to waste air... especially if you have such a small tank

Those are some small balls :D Hmm that reminded of the pnuzi you should coat your gun in bondo and shape it and paint it. Then youll really go through your balls quick.
Yeah, it's that important.

acctually, I've been thinking of something similar myself.... but of course it would have to be light and easily removable (as I prefer serviceable guns)... so ia mlooking for something as though as hot glue (so I could remove/peel it off when needed) but much lighter

I believe nailpolish remover and styrofoam are in order....

dissolve the styrofoam and cast it in the desired shape..You can even sand it..

Nailpolish remover often has oils and other contaminants such as perfume, glycol, etc to prevent nails from drying out. Some more environmentally friendly stuff doesn't have any Acetone in it. Hit the paint section of your local hardware store and pick up some real Acetone to avoid these contaminants that will weaken the final product and slow drying.
