Also if its to long it wont be able to move back enough and have poor flow .

I wonder, how would a hot glue molded piston withstand the force required of a 1 inch piston valve?

easily, i have used them up to 450psi without damage to the piston. :wink:

Ok, to make them, do you just lube up the pipe size that the piston slides in and pour in hot glue? How do you attatch the sealing face to the piston, epoxy, would it bond to both hot glue and rubber?

Take a rubber sealing face and put a screw with a washer in it flat in the lubed up tube, then pour the hot glue in

A spring, tennisball, foam backer rod, silicon or rubber tubing anything that will absorb the force
