As Marco said, they are not regulated. Your best bet for a cannon would be to use a 12g quick change adapter, found at most online or local paintball...

Yes, it is fine, as long as it is after the valve. DWV PVC, ABS, or whatever, is all fine, it just has to be after the valve.
